Emily, I wanted to write you an email, but couldn't find an address anywhere, so I'm posting a comment here. I am a graduate of Bromfield and heard about your adventure. My girlfriend spend 7 months in Rwanda doing what you're doing, with HIV/AIDS education, working at the health clinics, etc. at a few refugee camps in the northern part of the country. I spent a few weeks visiting her at one point, and it was really a great experience. Her stories are at http://www.backpackgal.com. She was an international public health student at Johns Hopkins at the time. Anyway, I am sure you're doing great work over there, and I really think you'd find some of the stuff on her site interesting and be able to relate to it. I hope all is well.

- send in padded envelope OR flat rate box
- express mail is useless (don't bother)
- be succinct on the customs form (less is more, and will keep my box from being raided)
